RSD-Vemulawada news: Driving under the influence of alcohol is punishable by jail sentences and fines, so be careful said Vemulawada Town Inspector Veera Prasad. Vemulawada JFCM Magistrate Jyothirmayi announced the verdict by imposing a fine of Rs. 1,99,600/- on 50 drug addicts and 41 others in jail (two for 7 days in jail, 7 for 3 days in jail, 5 for 5 days in jail, 27 for 2 days in jail), Town Inspector Veera Prasad said in a statement. Drug addicts who were caught in the Vemulawada town police station for drink and drive were counselled under the supervision of the traffic SI as per the orders of the town inspector and they took a pledge not to drink alcohol and drive again. Speaking on this occasion, the CI said that every day in the town police station limits he said that drunk and drive checks and vehicle checks will be conducted, and strict action will be taken against people caught driving under the influence of alcohol. He said that those caught driving under the influence of alcohol will be given counseling in the presence of their parents or family members. He warned that if people are caught driving under the influence of alcohol, they will face difficulties in future job opportunities and employment opportunities during police verification, and that legal action will be taken against those who violate traffic and road safety rules and regulations.
