SANGAREDDY DIEO CAUGHT RED HANDED BY ACB WHILE TAKING BRIBE
RSD_Sangareddy:The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has trapped the District Intermediate Education Officer (DIEO) of Sangareddy district.
On 09.09.2026 at about 1:20 PM, the Accused Officer Sri Ramavath Govind Ram, DIEO, Sangareddy District, was caught red handed at his office while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 20,000 from a complainant.
The bribe was demanded for doing an official favour i.e. “for conducting an inspection and submitting a report for extension of provisional affiliation for renewal of complainant’s Vikas Vocational Junior College, Sangareddy”.
According to ACB, the officer had initially demanded Rs. 50,000 and had already accepted Rs. 30,000 as bribe earlier.
The tainted bribe amount of Rs. 20,000 was recovered from the possession of the AO. The AO performed his public duty improperly and dishonestly to obtain undue advantage.
The officer is being arrested and will be produced before the Hon’ble II Addl. Spl. Judge for Trial of SPE & ACB Cases Court, at Hyderabad. The case is under investigation. The details of the complainant are withheld for security reasons.
