RSD- Vemulawada news: Vemulawada JFCM Magistrate Jyothirmayi announced the verdict by imposing a three day jail sentence, a fine of Rs. 2,000/- on the auto driver and a fine of Rs. 23,8500/- on 119 two wheeler riders for driving under the influence of alcohol, Town Inspector Veera Prasad said in a statement. The drug addicts who were caught drinking and driving at the Vemulawada Town Police Station were counseled under the guidance of the Town Inspector and Traffic SI and they took a pledge not to drive under the influence of alcohol again. Speaking on the occasion, the CI said that every day, drink and drive checks and vehicle checks are conducted within the limits of the city police station, and strict action will be taken against people caught driving under the influence of alcohol. He said that those caught driving under the influence of alcohol will be given counseling in the presence of their parents or family members. He warned that if they are caught driving under the influence of alcohol, they will face difficulties in future job opportunities and employment opportunities during police verification, and that legal action will be taken against them if they violate traffic and road safety rules and regulations.
