ACB caught Irrigation department officials while accepting bribe

RSD- Rangareddy news: Four officials in the irrigation department were arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB). Rangareddy District. EE Bhansilal, AEs Karthik and Nikesh were caught red-handed by the officials while accepting a bribe. At the same time, the hydra continued till midnight when a key official escaped in connection with the bribe demand. The officers who tried to take him into custody continued the search until nightfall. ACB officials caught the fourth person after working for about 4 hours. Four people were arrested and taken to Nampally ACB office.

According to reliable information, a person has approached the officials of the Ranga Reddy District SE Office of the Irrigation Department for the approval of a document. It is learned that Bhansilal, AEs Karthik and Nikesh, working as EE here, demanded that they would accept a bribe of Rs 2.5 lakh. The person who agreed initially for Rs.1.5 lakhs. Another Rs.1 lakh has to be paid they said. Officials said that it will be taken at the EE office on 30.05.2024 evening. In the meantime, the victim lodged a complaint with the ACB and they started surveillance. Officials of the Irrigation Department were caught while accepting bribe. At the same time, the officer who played a key role in accepting the bribe left the place. The ACB officers, who worked hard to locate him for about 4 hours, finally caught him.
