Barosa Center inaguration by Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy

RSD- Suryapet news: State Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy inaugurated the Barossa Center, She Teams office set up under Suven Trust, next to Suven Pharma Company in the district center. On this occasion, the Minister said that the Barossa Center will provide all the facilities for victims of harassment, murder, assaults, neglect, case registration, medical, legal, psychological support, educational accommodation, rehabilitation, counseling and court matters for the needy persons at one place. The Minister said that the idea of setting up this is a very good thing and I appreciate the police department and Su Pharma Trust who have come up with the idea of this arrangement. He ordered the police department to take strict measures to protect women and take legal action against those who harass women and children. The Minister said that it is the responsibility of all of us to prevent physical attacks and murderous attacks and we should complain about the harassment with courage. He said that awareness should be created in the villages about the working of the Barossa Centre, She Teams and the implementation of laws. He ordered the police department to work continuously in preventing the transportation and sale of ganja in the district, identify ganja and stop it completely, and work well in making it a ganja-free district and a ganja-free state.

The SP explaining about the objective and purpose of the establishment of the Barossa Centre, the SP said that it was the first time in the country that the Barossa Center was established under the State Police Women and Child Welfare. He said that the aim is to provide all necessary assistance in one place to protect women, prevent sexual assaults on children, stand by women and children who have been neglected and attacked. The support person, legal advisor and medical officer will be available till the criminal is punished in the case and till the case is over.
