Budget meeting for financial year 2023-24 – Municipal corporation Sircilla
On 28.02.2023, under the chairmanship of Municipal Corporation President Mrs. Jindam Kala Chakrapani, a budget meeting was held for the financially year 2023-24 of Sircilla Municipal Corporation.
District Collector Anurag Jayanthi congratulated the Sircilla Municipal Corporation for designing this budget in a well-meaning manner. He said that the budget is a complete statement of the income and expenses and also the funds that are not in the budget i.e. special funds for various development programs for the development of the city will also come from the government. In this budget, following the rules and regulations of the Telangana State Government Municipal Corporation Act 2019, the collection of household water taxes, household water taxes and other types of taxes will be collected in full and the budget will be prepared through the general fund and special funds. He said that the budget for the financial year 2023-24 has been prepared very well keeping in view the urban development with various aspects like allocating 10 percent funds. He said that all people should contribute to the development of the city by paying taxes on time.
President of Honorary Municipal Corporation Mrs. Jindam Kala Chakrapani said that a budget of 78 crore 99 lakh 46 thousand rupees has been introduced for the financial year 2023-24.
In particular, funds have been allocated for outsourcing employees’ salaries, employees’ salaries, sanitation maintenance, maintenance of street lights, maintenance of fresh water supply, especially 10% of the budget has been allocated to the Haritaharam program according to the 2019 Municipal Act. She said that in addition to the above land allocations, 1/3rd of the funds have been allocated for the development of merged villages, underdeveloped areas and slum areas for providing infrastructure according to the needs of the people. Minister KTR said that he is taking Sircilla town forward in the path of development in all fields and ensuring that all kinds of welfare programs are provided to the people. She said that in the coming days, under the administration of Chief Minister KCR, in accordance with his ideas, with the cooperation of Minister KTR, Sircilla town will be made an ideal town with more special funds. She said that she would like to express her special thanks to the Minister KTR, who has worked tirelessly for the development of Sircilla town. Similarly, special thanks were given to all the members of the ruling party who participated in this budget meeting and contributed to the approval of the budget. Municipal Commissioner Sammayya, Vice Chairman Manche Srinivas, councilor members and co-option members municipal officials participated in these budget meetings.
