Case registered against 5 in liquor scam

RSD-Hyderabd news: DTF and Excise police have jointly arrested a constable, a home guard and two others involved in illegal liquor smuggling. Another person is absconding in this case, it was said. Jemya Nayak is working as a constable and Bandari Lingaiah is working as a home guard at the outpost at Shamshabad Airport. They used to take tickets from passengers and buy duty free liquor at the airport. After that, they would take it out and sell it at a higher price. Based on solid information, the duo and two other accomplices, Harish Kumar and Raghavendar, were arrested on 27.12.2024, Shamshabad Excise Superintendent Krishna Priya said. Three cars along with 46 duty-free liquor bottles worth Rs. 15 lakh were seized from the accused. Another accused named Mahender is absconding in this case.
