Case registered in the incident of extorting money by impersonating the police
RSD-Sircilla news: On this occasion, DSP said that on 12.01.2024, Tangallapally police moved three tractors to the police station as they did not show the tractor waybill, and in addition, a person named Akkapalli Ellareddy of Tangallapally called Sura Venkataramana, the owner of one of the three tractors, and brought it to Tangalapally police station saying that, he spoke to the SI and threatened to bring his tractor and forced them to give 13,000 rupees and used it for their own expenses. According to the complaint filed by Venkataramana on 17.01.2024, a case was registered against Ella Reddy and Akkapalli Ella Reddy was arrested on 17.01.2024 evening and taken to remand, DSP said that investigation will be conducted against some others.
DSP Nagendrachari requested that if anyone come to the notice of such incidents, they should be vigilant against those who threaten and collecting money by threatening them with the name of the police, saying that they are their close friends.
