Casual leave for government employees for MLC by election

RSD-Hyderabad news: The chief election officer of the state has issued an order to give special casual leave to the government employees who have votes in the combined Warangal, Khammam and Nalgonda constituencies for the MLC by-election to be held on 27.05.2024. The EC has issued orders to this effect on 25.05.2024. Along with Warangal, Hanmakonda, Mahabubabad, Jayashankar Bhupalapalli, Janagama, Mulugu, Siddipet districts to vote in the MLC election.It has been clarified that special CL should be given to central and state government employees in Khammam, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Nalgonda, Suryapet and Yadadri Bhuvanagiri districts. The CEO advised the district election officials to make appropriate arrangements as there is no provision in the law to give leave to private employees for MLC elections. Chief Electoral Officer Vikas Raj asked private companies and business organizations to allow their staff to either adjust their shifts or come late or come in the middle to cast their vote. To this extent, orders have been issued to all institutions and offices.
