Commemoration of police martyrs to begin from October 21 2023
RSD-Sircilla news: As part of commemoration of the sacrifices of the police martyrs, the district SP has informed that a memorial parade will be organized on the 21st of October 2023 to pay tribute to the sacrifices of the martyrs.
Commemoration of Police Martyrs Memorial Day “Police Flag Day” on 21st October every year as part of commemoration of life sacrifices of Police Martyrs from 21st October to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Birth Anniversary National Unity Day 31st October (Date :21- 10- 2023 to 31 -10 -2023) District SP Akhil Mahajan IPS informed that the programs will be organized
Open house programs are organized to inform people about police duties, sacrifices, use of technology, services of police in public protection etc.,
Essay competitions are conducted online through this website https://forms.gle/b7bejvzfo6j29Vuz6. Candidates can participate in Essay Competitions in three languages i.e. Telugu, English and Urdu.
Essay Competition Category wise:
Category-1: Students to Intermediate use of technology for effective policing,
Category-2: For degree and above students, “Online Essay Competitions” will be conducted for students on the topic of role of police in combating misuse of social media and can be submitted online till 24th October 2023. The first three meritorious candidates will be presented with prizes on the day of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary at the district police office and further these three candidates will be selected for the state level.He said that the students should take advantage of this opportunity and show their best talent at the state and district level and earn prizes.
Essay Competitions for Police:
Category-1: Constable Officer to ASI Level Officer:Work-Life Balance for Police.
Category-2: For SI level officer and above: Role of police in maintaining gender equality in society.
It was informed that these essay competitions should be conducted in Telugu, English, Urdu languages, and the first three who participate in the essay not exceeding 500 words and who show talent will get the main awards and the eligibility to participate in the state level competitions.
Blood donation camp programs are organized. A cycle rally under the leadership of the police commemorating the police martyrs.
The families of the police martyrs are approached and will be payed tributes as a mark of their sacrifices.
Short Films, Photography Competitions:
Students, youth, aspiring photographers, videographers, police service related photos or road accidents, cyber crimes, community policing, superstitions, other social ills, police response during emergencies, police service in natural calamities, other police image enhancing topics within the district. Short videos of not more than three minutes should be made and the first three photos and videos of talented will be given a prize at the district police office on the day of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary and informed that they will be selected for the state level and are eligible to participate in the state competitions. Photos, videos should be submitted in the office of Special Branch (NIB) by 24-10-23.
From 21st to 31st of October 2023 in public places, song programs will be organized with police art team telling about police martyrs and banners of police martyrs will be set up at the main intersections of all police stations in the district.
District SP informed that on October 21 st 2023 in the suburbs of Lingampet village of Chandurthi Mandal, a “Remembrance Parade” will be organized at the Gala “Police Martyrs Stupa”.
