Criminal case on parents for giving vehicle to minor

A woman named Gaddam Lakshmi from Rudrangi Mandal, although her son was a minor, gave him a vehicle and caused an accident due to reckless driving. Ramulu, aged 72, suffered serious injuries and bled profusely and died on the way. Based on the complaint of Narsayya @Reddy, a case has been registered against the minor’s mother Gaddam Lakshmi, who gave a two-wheeler to a minor, and she has been arrested and sent to judicial remand on 24.12.2024. Important note to the people of the district, if minors are caught driving vehicles, criminal cases will be registered against their parents and vehicle owners, and their safety is the responsibility of the parents, DSP Chandrasekhar Reddy warned. A special drive was conducted across the district on minor driving and counseling was conducted for the minors and their parents who were caught, and 07 cases were registered against those who were caught driving rashly.
