RSD- Sircilla news: On 13.11.2024, District Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha conducted a review with the relevant officials on deliveries in government hospitals at the Integrated District Collectorate. The Collector, who conducted a review of the deliveries taking place in government hospitals as per the PHCs, issued several instructions and orders to the officials. District Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha said that the Collector inquired about the details of normal deliveries, C-section deliveries taking place in government hospitals in each mandal, and deliveries taking place in private hospitals at the same time. The Collector said that 3206 deliveries took place in Rajannasircilla district from May to October 2024, 1860 in government hospitals and 1308 in private hospitals. The Collector instructed the concerned officials to take steps to increase the number of deliveries in government hospitals in the areas of P.S. Nagar, A.B. Nagar Urban PHC, Vilas Nagar, Kodurupaka, Hanumajipet, and Boynapalli PHC to increase the number of deliveries in special government hospitals. The Collector instructed the officials to estimate the dates of delivery of pregnant women in each primary health center and to ensure that deliveries take place in government hospitals by following up with ASHA workers from time to time. The Collector said that 100 percent ANC registration of pregnant women should be completed by ASHA workers in each primary health center and that women should receive vaccinations on time. The Collector said that pregnant women with anemia should be identified and provided with necessary nutritional food and iron tablets. He said that there are a total of 464 pregnant women who are likely to deliver in the district’s primary health centers in the month of November 2024, and 204 deliveries have taken place in the district so far. He said that the remaining pregnant women should be followed up regularly. The Collector said that it is not possible to issue permission for the registration of new hospitals and establishment of scanning centers in the district without his permission. The Collector ordered that the District Medical Health Department Officer should supervise the ANC registration process being carried out by each PHC. He said that steps should be taken to replace the necessary pediatric doctors and other specialist doctors of other departments under the Sircilla General Hospital on a temporary basis. He ordered that 2 gynecology doctors from the District Medical College be appointed on deputation to Vemulawada Area Hospital and the number of deliveries in the government hospital should be increased. In this review meeting, the Principal of the Medical College, DR. Lakmi Narayana, District Medical and Health Officer, DR. Vasantha Rao, Medical Superintendents DR. Penchalaiah, DR. Lakmi Narayana, program officers, concerned officers, and others participated.
