RSD- Mulugu news: Gajwel Rural CI Mahender Reddy reveals details of the case, IKP employee Tigulla Nehru (age 35) from Mulugu village went to the IKP office on the morning of July 28th 2025 and did not return, so the family members filed a complaint at Mulugu police station. Mulugu SI Vijay Kumar registered a case and started the investigation. One of them was studying at Kondapaka Social Welfare Residential School when he met Nisha Rani, a PET (Physical Education Teacher) there. Their relationship continued through frequent phone calls and WhatsApp messages, which later turned into an extramarital affair. Nisha Rani is also a married woman. In 2019, Mahesh met Tigulla Nehru, who works at Mulugu IKP Center. The two used to work together and participate in chit fund transactions, and also shared personal matters. Mahesh also became jealous when he learned that Nehru had extramarital affairs with some women, but recently there were differences over the chit fund commission. Mahesh became very angry when Nehru repeatedly took the entire commission for himself, spoke rudely to Nisharani, and made comments that he wanted physical contact with her. On July 28, 2025, Mahesh took the gold from Nisharani and took a loan of ₹58,600 from Micro Finance Limited – Vargal branch. She did not believe him even after he told her that the money would be used for chit fund dues. Therefore, she asked Nehru to be brought as a guarantor. Nehru was taken in a car to Nisharani’s house at Mulugu. There, when Nehru made rude comments again, Mahesh punched him in anger, rendering him unconscious. Immediately, he strangled her with a wire from the house and killed her. He put the body in the car and took it outside. Later, he informed Nisharani about the matter and went to Gaggillapur village to hide the body with the help of her father Naradasu Komurayya. First, he hid the body in the fields, and then after finding a suitable vehicle, he tied the body with stones and dumped it in a pond. A person named Ubbani Vinay made a fake call from Nehru’s phone to his wife and said, “Uncle is not coming, he will come tomorrow.” The accused, Mahesh, tried to convince Nehru’s wife that he was fine by giving ₹15,000 in chit fund money. After the murder, Mahesh threw Nehru’s mobile phone into the Mulugu Kondapochamma canal to avoid being traced. He himself showed the police the place where the body was dumped, Nisharani’s residence.

During the investigation, two cars, four mobile phones, a TVS Excel motorbike, a gold loan receipt under microfinance (Inventory No: IN40930700001754 – ₹58,600), details of Nisharani’s house, and Nehru’s mobile call traces were seized. The accused himself showed the police the place where the body was dumped, Nisharani’s residence and vehicle details.
