Distribution of fine rice in ration shops

RSD- Sircilla news: State BC Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said that the distribution of fine rice in all ration shops in the state is the first in the country. The fine rice scheme, which is being implemented ambitiously by the state government, was launched on 01.04.2025 at the ration shop located at the new bus stand in the Sircilla district center along with Government Whip, Vemulawada MLA Adi Srinivas, Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha and SP Mahesh. On this occasion, fine rice was distributed to several beneficiaries along with the Minister, Whip, Collector, SP and others. Later, Minister Ponnam Prabhakar spoke and reminded that for the first time in the country, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy started the distribution of fine rice to ration beneficiaries in the state on Ugadi day. He stated that the scheme is being implemented as per the promise given and said that fine rice will be distributed to two lakh 91 families in 17,263 ration shops in the state. He called on every beneficiary to make good use of the fine rice. He explained that the state government is implementing various schemes aimed at the welfare of all sections. He reminded that his government has filled about 60 thousand jobs. He reminded that free bus travel, 200 units of free electricity and Rs. 500 gas cylinders are being distributed to all women. He said that various units have already been started under Indira Mahila Shakti with the good intention of making women millionaires. He also revealed that solar units are being distributed to women’s groups. He said that they are encouraging farmers who grow small grains by providing an additional 500 per quintal. He explained that they are providing new buses to the RTC and supporting the development of the organization. Government Whip and Vemulawada MLA Adi Srinivas said that the state government recently conducted a socio-economic survey through 345 ration shops in the district. He reminded that the state government has passed a bill in the assembly providing 42 percent reservation for BCs. He said that the state government has assured the weavers in the district by releasing past dues and also started a yarn bank and will move forward by solving their problems. He revealed that the government has waived off loans of farmers worth about 20 thousand crore rupees. He said that pension distribution and other programs will be started soon. He announced that the state government will fulfill every promise made. He revealed that 3275 metric tons will be distributed to 1 lakh 70 thousand ration card beneficiaries through 345 ration shops in the district. Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha said that fine rice will be distributed to all beneficiaries in accordance with the orders of the state government. He explained that all measures will be taken to ensure that no problems arise. District Library Chairman Nagula Satyanarayana Goud, Market Committee Chairperson Swaroopa, Adarapu Collector Khimya Nayak, Sircilla RDO Radhabai, District Civil Supplies Officer Vasantha Lakshmi, Civil Supplies Manager Rajitha and others participated in the program.
