District Police closer to people through “Thana Divas” programme
The “Thana Divas” program was started for the first time at Vemulawada Rural Police Station in Rajannasircilla District and the applications were received by District SP Akhil Mahajan IPS. The “Thana Divas” program which was initiated by the district police department to solve the security problems and complaints at the field level in the villages got an unexpected response. From 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM District SP Akhil Mahajan IPS was available to the public and 53 complaints were received. Orders have been issued for the authorities to take immediate steps to solve the problems after receiving the applications.
SP said that in order to get closer to the people, the “Thana Divas” program has been organized and the complaints have been received from the people and the officials have been ordered to find out about their problems. He directed the officials concerned to register an FIR. Criminal cases were also filed against those who encroached on the land by terrorizing the people. He said that awareness programs will be organized under the supervision of retired MRO and DSP along with creating awareness with the Legal Services Authority regarding the civil issues. He directed the officers to talk to the Legal Services Authority and take steps to get them from the husbands to seek living allowance for the wife who is away from her husband. He said that the Telangana Police Department is at the top in the country and is making progress in maintaining law and order and crime control by using modern technology at all levels. He said that we are working to provide speedy justice by interacting with the people. The police will always stand by the side of the victims, justice to the victims is a part of the police’s duty, and the police department plays a key role in maintaining peace and security.
He said that the theme of solving the public problems is to receive the pleas of the problems at the field level and take appropriate measures to solve them as soon as possible. He said that the security problems in the villages will be resolved legally. Everyone should take advantage of this opportunity. The petitioners expressed their opinion that they are happy that the District SP himself came to them and received their complaints with patience.
