RSD- Sircilla news: District SP launches “Police Akka” program in every police station under the District She Team at Padmanaika Kalyana Mandapam in Sircilla town on 17.12.2024. A woman constable has been selected in every police station under the name of “Police Akka”. Police Akka will work with She Team to create awareness on POCSO Act, Good Touch, Bad Touch, Eve Tearing, and Women’s Acts On this occasion, the SP said that taking women’s safety as the first responsibility in the district, the district She Team is taking up advocacy programs under the “Women’s Protection” and as part of that, a woman constable has been selected in each police station area of the district under the name of “Police Akka”. Those selected as the She Team will visit all the schools and colleges within the respective police stations to help the She Team and conduct awareness programs on the POCSO Act, sexual harassment, eve teasing, good touch, bad touch, and women’s laws among the students. In addition, She Team, Dial 100, and Police Akka numbers should be set up in the respective schools and colleges so that students can contact them if they face any problems. He said that students should stay away from social media and strict action should be taken if they harass students on social media. The District SP said that if women and students are harassed, they can fearlessly complain to the District She Team number 8712656425 and legal action will be taken against them. The District She Team is achieving good results in stopping hooligans in the district. The She Team formed in the district immediately responded to the complaints received on the problems of female students and said that this year 52 hooligans were caught red-handed, and this year 60 cases and 44 FIRs were registered against those harassing women and students.
