RSD_EC inquiry on strong room keys missing

The Central Election Commission (EC) has started an inquiry into the missing strong room keys related to the Dharmapuri constituency 2018 assembly elections. A team of officials from Delhi came to Jagitiyal on 17.04.2023 for the investigation as per the orders of the High Court. Officials are investigating at Nachupalli JNTU College, Kodimyala Mandal, Jagityala District. Along with the present Collector of Jagityal Yasmin Bhasha, Gugulothu Sarath, Guguloth Ravi, Additional Collectors Aruna Sri and Asifabad Additional Collector Rajeshyam has attended the EC inquiry. The EC officials, who are collecting information from them about the missing of the strong room lock keys, will give a report to the High Court. It is known that Congress candidate Adluri Laxman Kumar approached the High Court alleging irregularities in the case. As a result, the High Court ordered the election officer Bikshapati to submit the details of the polling and counting form kept in the strong room of the EVMs in the court. Officials tried to open the strong room but failed due to lack of keys.
