Eradicate the drug epidemic for the future generations

RSD-Vemulawada news: On the occasion of the completion of five years of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, launched by the central government to create awareness among the people on drugs, anti-drug pledge programs were organized in educational institutions in the district as per the resolve of the Telangana state government. The District SP Mahesh B. Gite participated in the anti-drug pledge program organized by the district police program along with the officers and staff. Speaking on the occasion, the SP said, “I have taken a pledge to become an active participant in the ongoing fight against drugs, to follow a drug-free lifestyle, to work with me so that no one falls under the burden of drugs, to provide information about people selling, buying and smuggling drugs to the relevant authorities, and to be a partner in the Telangana government’s resolve to achieve a drug-free society.” He called on everyone to participate in the ongoing fight against drugs and eradicate the drug epidemic and provide a better future for future generations. He urged every student and youth to become an anti-drug soldier and create awareness about the ills caused by drugs. He urged the youth and people to play a key role in cooperating with the police in completely eradicating drugs from the society. Strict action should be taken against those who illegally consume and sell marijuana in the district. He warned on this occasion. He said that the district police are focusing on the illegal transportation of marijuana by conducting special drives and inspections with narcotics squads in every police station to make the district a marijuana-free district. He said that 98 people were arrested in 40 cases in the district this year and 3,700 grams of marijuana were seized. He asked everyone to share information related to marijuana with the police concerned and make the district a marijuana free district. Administration Officer Padma, CIs Natesh, Ravi, RIs Ramesh, Madhukar, Yadagiri, SIs Srikanth, Premannandam, Junaid, Sravan, Srinivas, Ramesh, police personnel, and office staff participated in this program.
