Fined 52 people caught in drunk drive at Sircilla

RSD- Sircilla news: As per the orders of District SP Mahesh B. Gite IPS, drunk and drive checks were conducted for 14 days in the Sircilla Town Police Station limits, 52 drug addicts were caught. The Sircilla Police produced them in court on 05.08.2025 and fined 58 drug addicts, said Sircilla Town Inspector Krishna in a statement. Counseling was conducted under the supervision of City Traffic SI Dilip for the drug addicts caught in drunk and driving at the Sircilla Town Police Station and they took a pledge not to drink alcohol and drive again. Speaking on the occasion, the CI said that drunk and drive checks and vehicle checks are conducted every day within the limits of the city police station, and strict action will be taken against people caught driving under the influence of alcohol. He said that those caught driving under the influence of alcohol will be given counseling in the presence of their parents or family members. He warned that if they are caught driving under the influence of alcohol, they will face difficulties in future job opportunities and employment opportunities during police verification, and that legal action will be taken against them if they violate traffic and road safety rules and regulations.
