Fines for 57 people caught in drunk driving

RSD-Sircilla news: As per the orders of District SP Mahesh B. Gite IPS, a drunk and drive check was conducted in the Sircilla Town Police Station limits and 57 drug addicts were caught. The Sircilla Town Police produced them in court on 14.11.2025 and fined 57 drug addicts. Town Inspector Krishna said that Magistrate Jayashree has announced the verdict.
1. Two: Rs. 6000/- fine for each person.
2. Twelve: Rs. 5000/- fine for each person.
3. Rs. 4000/- fine for each person.
4. Forty two: Rs. 1000 fine for each person.
At the Sircilla town police station, drug addicts who were caught drinking and driving were counseled under the supervision of Town Inspector Krishna and Traffic SI Dilip and they took a pledge to never drink alcohol and drive again. Speaking on the occasion, the CI said that every day, drink and drive checks and vehicle checks are conducted within the limits of the town police station, and strict action will be taken against people caught driving under the influence of alcohol. Those caught driving under the influence of alcohol will be given counseling in the presence of their parents or family members. He warned that if they are caught driving under the influence of alcohol, they will face difficulties in future employment opportunities during police verification, and legal action will be taken against them if they violate traffic and road safety rules and regulations.
