Formation of Disaster Response Force (DRF) team in the district: District SP

A 12-member Disaster Response Force (DRF) team has been formed in the district to enable the police to perform their duties more effectively in disaster management situations such as floods, earthquakes, fire accidents, building collapses and saving lives.

SP said that for the management of natural calamities in the district, a DRF team consisting of two RSIs and ten constables (2+10) has been formed and given adequate training at the DRF Training Center in Hyderabad to help in immediate response and resolution of floods and other natural calamities during the monsoon season. He said that the DRF personnel will immediately respond to heavy rains, floods, fire accidents, collapsed buildings and natural calamities and coordinate the various department officials to avoid any loss of life or property. Special thanks were given to GHMC Enforcement Director Prakash Reddy IPS and District SP Akhil Mahajan IPS for training the district DRF team for 10 days.
