Free medical camp under POPA
RSD- Sircilla news: A health camp was organized on 26.12.2024 for power loom workers in Ganesh Nagar under the Padmasali Officials and Professionals Association Rajannasircilla District with the courtesy of Medicover Hospital Karimnagar. On this occasion, POPA General Secretary Kankuntla Punnamchander and 21st Ward Councilor Vemula Ravi said that health checkups are being conducted to resolve the health problems of power loom workers. He said that many welfare programs are being conducted through POPA. He said that they are working to build self-confidence among workers and their children through programs such as distribution of essential commodities to workers, health camps, polytechnic entrance training for workers’ children, spoken English training, training for National Means Cum Merit Scholarship, and providing talent awards. Blood pressure, diabetes, E.C.G. tests were conducted. This General Medicine DR. K. Srikanth, Dental DR. Sivaramakrishna, and Medico Sanjana conducted medical examinations in the camp. 200 workers underwent medical examinations in the medical camp. 21st Ward Councilor Vemula Ravi, DR. Sivaramakrishna, POPA representatives Nagula Srinivas, Chityala Ratnakar, Vasala Hari Prasad, Kokkula Srinivas, Kankuntla Madhu, Bolli Bhagavan, Ankarapu Gyanoba, Kodam Srinivas, Dasari Tirumala, Aluvala Eeshwar, Adepu Chakrapani, Ramu, Naresh, Raju, Mind Care Center staff Burla Srimati, Rapelli Latha, and Vemula Annapurna participated in this program.
