RSD- Sircilla news: A general meeting of December month’s Municipal Corporation was held on 31.12.2023 under the chairmanship of Municipal Corporation President Mrs. Jindam Kala Chakrapani. On this occasion, Mrs. Jindam Kala Chakrapani, President of the Municipal Association said that an agenda with 18 points designed keeping in mind the needs of the people and the urban development of the municipality, which was introduced in this general meeting and all the points were discussed with the members of the governing body and approved in this general meeting.

  • Resolving to hold tenders for maintenance of works such as parks, junctions, central medians, greenery, Vaikunthadhamas, nature forests etc.
  • On the maintenance of power bores in various wards, allocation of house number to Amba Bhavani temple as per the request of the people of Rajiv Nagar, special sanitation management works were discussed and resolutions were made.
  • Furthermore, it has been decided to send a report to the government to facilitate all other ownership rights to the beneficiaries who have received government title lands in the areas of Indira Nagar, B.Y. Nagar and Padma Nagar for the past many years.
  • Furthermore, in 2018, the government sent proposals to the 7 merged villages that were merged into Sircilla Municipality to continue as Gram Panchayats.

Furthermore, the following resolutions have been proposed to the government as per the requests received from the people in the public governance programs run by the Telangana state government.

  • A resolution has been passed asking the government to provide free electricity subsidy up to 200 units as part of Griha Jyoti scheme to house renters and all household electricity services as part of Congress six guarantees.
  • Since a large percentage of people in Sircilla, which is a labor area, live depending on the powerloom industry, the government is requested to give 90% electricity subsidy to the 14 thousand Maramagas in Sircilla. A resolution has been passed asking the government to support the workers by giving a large percentage of government orders such as manufacturing of clothes, manufacturing of KCR kit clothes, manufacturing of RVM clothes etc.,

As part of the Mahalakshmi scheme, the number of passengers traveling in buses has increased, so a resolution has been passed asking the government to increase the number of buses.

  • According to the election promise given by the Congress party, a resolution has been introduced by the government asking the government to provide free bus travel facility to the disabled.
  • Thanking government for free bus travel for women as part of the Mahalakshmi scheme, this will harm the employment of auto workers, so the government will give them a living allowance of 1000 rupees per month, considering the normal living standards of today’s people, the families of auto workers are do not get enough to live, so auto workers will be given a living allowance of 10000 rupees per month. A resolution was passed asking the government to provide health insurance facility of up to five lakhs to workers and their families, and also to show them other sources of income.

After discussing many issues with the members of the governing body, she said that the council resolutions were passed.
