Tension in Palasa of Srikakulam district

RSD- Srikakulam news: The indefinite strike of Anganwadis for the last 18 days in Palasa has intensified. Thousands of Anganwadis reached there on 30.12.2023 to besiege the office of local minister Appalaraju. The police came to know about the matter and blocked the Anganwadis. A tense atmosphere took place. In this incident, a woman constable along with many anganwadis were injured. Pushing the police and the gates, the Anganwadis handed over the petition to the minister. Speaking on this occasion, the minister promised to implement the welfare schemes for the Anganwadis. Anganwadi salary increase, graduation etc. needs to be discussed and decided by the government officials. But as no clear assurance was given, the Anganwadis turned back in frustration saying that they will make the strike more tense.
