Grain procurement should be expedited: District Collector

District Collector Anurag Jayanthi has ordered to speed up the purchase of grain in the grain purchase centers. He said that the farmers who come to the purchase centers should conduct purchases without any difficulty.

The district collector inspected the grain purchase center set up under the cooperative department at Gaja Singavaram village of Gambhiraupeta mandal on 10.05.2023.The pattern of purchases in the purchase centers was examined. How much crop has been bought so far, how much is still to be bought and other details were asked from the managers.

As soon as the grain is brought to the purchase center, the moisture content should be checked and purchases should be made as soon as the specified moisture content is reached. He said that the details should be entered. He wants to see that there is no shortage of porters in the shopping centers. He said that the purchased grain should be immediately moved to the loading rice mills.

District Collector was accompanied by District Civil Supplies Officer Buddha Naidu, District Civil Supplies Officer Jitender Reddy, Civil Supplies Corporation District Manager Jitendra Prasad and others.

Later, the District Collector conducted a surprise inspection of the Social Health Center in Gambhiraopet mandal centre. The concerned medical officers were asked for details about how much OP gets every day. On an average, 65-75 OPs come every day, in-charge supervisors of the hospital AV Srinivas told District Collector.

After that OP register, lab technician report register and attendance register of medical staff were examined. The doctors were asked whether all the health tests are being conducted in the social center or not. If there are any tests that have not been done yet, they want to get the details. The district collector advised the doctors to increase the number of tuberculosis tests as only five tests were done last month.

He said that the number of other health tests should be increased so that the treatment can be done after knowing what the disease is. Doctors are advised to tap the funds under Arogyashri as much as possible. The officials were also advised to start physiotherapy services in the PHC as soon as possible. He said that if any equipment in the social health center is not working, he will be given details and steps will be taken to put it into use immediately. Also, when the doctors brought the electricity problems in the social health center to the attention of the district collector, the district collector spoke to CESS MD Rama Krishna who responded immediately. It is advised to send the concerned technicians immediately and solved the electrical problems.
