RSD-Karimnagar news: District Collector Pamela Satpathi has instructed the education department officials to identify the children of migrant workers and workers across the district and admit them to special schools. A meeting was held with the Mandal Education Officers, brick kiln owners and industry owners at the Collectorate Conference Hall. Speaking at the meeting, the Collector said that usually work site schools are started where migrant workers work the most. But with the aim of providing a school environment for the children, they are being taught in special classes in schools close to their families. She ordered that the children of workers working in brick kilns and industries be identified and admitted to these schools. She said that they would be provided with nutrition, clothing and books. The brick kiln owners were asked to provide transport facilities to the children as their help. She reminded that in 2024 year, about 500 children of migrant workers were admitted to these schools and provided education. She said that this year, more attention should be paid to special schools. She suggested that the children of migrant workers admitted to special schools should be taught in English. She suggested that in the future, they should be trained so that they become more interested in education and have the enthusiasm to study wherever they go. She said that children who are out of school should also be identified and admitted to school. Education officials said that 185 children have already been identified. District Collector Pamela Satpathi instructed the mandal education officers to pay special attention to the students studying in tenth grade and ensure that they get hundred percent results. Speaking at a meeting held with the mandal education officers at the Collectorate meeting hall, the Collector said that special attention should be paid to every tenth grade student. She ordered the special officers to supervise the special classes conducted for tenth grade students. They should prepare them for the board exams by conducting slip tests from time to time. Mandal Education Officers were ordered to visit SC, ST and BC welfare shelters twice a week. She said that it is mandatory to register at least 20 children in pre-primary schools under the Education Department. She said that gas connections have been given to all schools for cooking mid-day meals and they should be used compulsorily. Friendly complaint boxes should be maintained in every school. District Education Officer Mondayya, Education Department Quality Coordinator Ashok Reddy and Mandal Education Officers participated in this meeting.
