International Yoga Day at 17th Police Battalion Sardapur

RSD- Sardapur: Practice of yoga helps a person to calm down mentally and physically, to overcome stress. Yoga teacher Anji Babu of “Art of Living” organization along with the personnel of 17th Police Battalion participated in the yoga program organized on the occasion of International Yoga Day.

After that, the commandant said that yoga contributes so much to the mental and physical peace and health of a person that all the countries around the world practice yoga. Yoga is said to unite the mind and body and provide spirituality. He said that regular practice of yoga can overcome stress. Ancient scriptures say that Yoga existed in India since the Vedic period.
He said that in 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi put the proposal of International Yoga Day before the United Nations General Assembly and got the support of the United Nations, and since then, International Yoga is being held on June 21 and all countries are observing it as Yoga Day.
