Ellareddypet, (RSD): In a shocking case of overseas job fraud, a youth from Rajanna Sircilla district was allegedly cheated and forcibly enlisted in the Russian Army and sent to the war zone near the Ukraine border.

According to Ellareddypet SI Ramesh Goud, Dommati Kishan, a resident of Narayanpur village of Ellareddypet mandal, was living with his wife Rakshitha by doing traditional occupation. Due to lack of proper employment locally, a manpower agent named Darnam Srinivas from Sircilla allegedly lured him with a promise of a good job in Russia.

Believing the agent, Kishan paid Rs. 2.50 lakh and left for Russia on the 5th of last month. However, after reaching there, he was cheated in the name of a job and forcibly enrolled in the Russian Army, his wife Rakshitha alleged in her complaint.

She told police that her husband called her and informed that he has been sent to the war zone on the Ukraine border after being forced into the army.

Deeply worried, Rakshitha approached the Ellareddypet police, requesting them to bring back her husband safely to India and to take strict action against the agent who cheated them.

Based on the complaint, a case has been registered and investigation is underway, SI Ramesh Goud said. Officials are also said to be focusing on necessary steps to bring the youth back to his homeland safely.
