KK Mahender Reddy says Sircilla textile industry will get help from government

RSD- Sircilla news: Sircilla Constituency In-charge KK Mahender Reddy said that the government will help all sections by protecting all sections of the Sircilla textile industry. President of Padmasali Association, Goli Venkataramana, chaired the Powerloom textile industry problems – ways to solve them at Padmasali Kalyana Mandapam on 05.01.2024. A discussion program was held on the topic with representatives of all sectors of the textile industry. Constituency in-charge of Congress Party Sircilla KK Mahender Reddy, who was the chief guest at the event, said that the workers and managers of the textile industry and allied sectors in Sircilla need not worry that the Congress government will stand by them. He said that the dues of 250 crore Bathukamma sarees will be brought to the notice of the government to be received by the end of January 2024. He said that he will bring to the attention of the Minister of Handloom and Textiles to create a special program to protect the cotton industry, dyeing and sizing industries in addition to continuing the electricity subsidy. He said that everyone knows the extent to which the previous government took the industry in the name of Bathukamma saree order. He said that the Congress government will run with everyone and there is a need for everyone to work together to overcome the problems in the industry.

      Former municipal chairman Adepu Ravinder, who participated in the discussion, said that the textile industry had suffered badly due to the mistakes made in the name of Bathukamma saree order in the past. He asked to provide adequate encouragement to the industry. Handloom Textile Trade Association President Tatipamula Damodar said that the previous government did not pay any attention to the cotton textile industry. He said that the present government should provide a helping hand similar to Bathukamma’s orders to support cotton and allied industries. Government has been asked to allocate space for setting up dyeing units separately. Mandal Satyam, president of the Polyester Producers Association, said that due to pending arrears of 250 crores related to the order of Bathukamma sarees, all sections of the industry are suffering and if the situation continues, the industry will have to shut down indefinitely from January 15th 2024. Telangana Power Loom Workers Union Secretary Musham Ramesh said that the textile industry across the state is currently in trouble. He said that if 250 crores are released, the arrears of Bathukamma sarees will be beneficial for the industry. Worker-to-Owner scheme has been made available and free electricity up to 10 maramaggas has been requested. President of Assam (owner) Sangam Sircilla Aravir said that the current situation of owner is in trouble in the industry and the government should give special orders to provide free electricity up to 10 maramggas. Vemula Damodar said that the Congress government in the state of Karnataka will provide free electricity up to 20 HP to the textile industry and said that they should provide free electricity to the textile industry in Sircilla. The program was coordinated by Goli Venkataramana, president of Padmasali Sangam. Lal Bauta Handloom Workers Union AITUC leaders Pantam Ravi, Mahila Congress district president Kamuni Vanitha, Adepu Chandrakala, Velumala Tirupati Reddy, Kamuni Nalini Kanth were present in the program.
