Man drowns falling into Narmala stream, Union Minister calls flood victims

RSD- Gambhiraopet news: Due to the heavy rains across the state, ponds and puddles are overflowing. Streams and canals are overflowing. Recently, one person drowned after falling into Narmala stream in Gambhiraopet mandal of Rajanna Siricilla district. Pampukadi Nagayya of Narmala went near the stream on 27.08.2025 to graze the cattle. It seems that he drowned as the stream was flowing heavily due to heavy rain. On receiving information, the police reached the spot and started search operations.  Union Minister Bandi Sanjay spoke to Swamy, a victim trapped in Upper Maner near Gambhiraopet in Sircilla district, on the phone. He assured him not to be afraid and that the authorities will save him. Sanjay also inquired about the condition of the other four victims, Pitla Mahesh, Pitla Swamy and Dhyanaboyin Swamy, along with Swamy. He assured all the victims not to be afraid. The Union Minister said that the district collector is also there and participating in relief operations. He revealed that he will talk to the authorities and take steps to ensure that they receive food. Swamy said that he is not afraid and is confident that the authorities will save him.
