Municipality fines on those who throw garbage in open spaces

RSD – Sircilla news: According to the directives of Municipal Commissioner Sammayya, a fine of Rs 2000/- was imposed on Durga Tiffin (Puri) Center and Rs 500/- on mutton sellers who were using single-use plastic covers for those who dumped garbage openly in the vicinity of the vegetable market in Sircilla town. Going into details, municipal staff during their ward visit on 01.06.2023 morning to Sircilla Market and Subhash Nagar surrounding areas, garbage was observed being dumped in open spaces. Immediately, with the help of the sanitation staff, the litterers were caught and fined Rs 2000/- and Gajabhinkar Nagaraju, a mutton seller who was using single-use plastic covers, was fined Rs 500/-. The garbage was ordered to be taken to the compost yard of Sircilla Municipal Corporation. As part of their sanitation management, the municipal staff will conduct surveillance in the town every day, and disciplinary action and fines will be imposed on those who throw garbage either in the suburbs of the town or in various open places, and those who sell plastic will be given disciplinary action and fines. Already through social media awareness programs will be conducted and through newspapers, Ward Officers and MEPMA Resource Person will be notified, so strict action will be taken against those who violate these orders and heavy fines will be imposed if this happens again.
