RSD- Chittoor District news: Corona virus is causing a stir in Andhra Pradesh again. While new variant cases are being reported in Kerala and other states, the emergence of corona positive cases in the state is worrying.

A doctor at a private medical college hospital in Eluru district has tested positive for corona. His samples were sent to the Hyderabad lab with suspicions of a new variant. It is known that the Union Health Department has advised the states to once again follow the precautions taken during the Covid epidemic. In this order, Corona has been alerted about the new variant. CM Jagan is holding a review meeting on 22.12.2023 on the situation of Covid in the state. Jagan will meet with the officials of the medical and health department and discuss the measures to be taken to control the Covid in the state.

As it is the festive season, the authorities have already received instructions to take appropriate precautions to prevent the virus. On the other hand, in the wake of increasing cases, the counters of Tirupati TTD are following the Covid protocol. TTD was alerted by the devotees coming from different states and placed flexi on Covid precautions near the counters. No mask no entry boards were placed near the counters. Meanwhile, the Union Health Department has advised the states to be more vigilant for those with low immunity. The Union Health Department has ordered the states to increase RTPCR tests and conduct genome tests to know the variant.
