No one should pay LRS says Harish Rao

RSD-Hyderabad news: BRS MLA Harish Rao has called on all LRS applicants not to pay fees. Congress leaders, who had said before the elections that they would regularize for free if they came to power, said it was shameful to collect fees by saying it was a 25 percent discount. He said that the Congress, which had given a rebate for 1/4^th, would be given a rebate by the voters in coming elections. He spoke to the media at the BRSLP office on 25.02.2025. He said that Congress candidate Jeevan Reddy spent Rs. 90 crore in the Mahabubnagar local body MLC elections and that senior party leader Chinna Reddy had revealed that he had given Rs. 5-10 lakh to MPTCs and ZPTCs in the process of buying votes. He questioned why ED, CBI, IT and EC are keeping quiet on this matter. He demanded that a case be filed suo motu. Harish said that Chinna Reddy’s aggrieved comments in Wanaparthy reflect the state government’s tyranny and the way democracy is being murdered in the state. He alleged that Indiramma’s kingdom has become a police state and illegal cases and harassment from his party workers to leaders have become commonplace. Harish recalled that when applications were invited for LRS during the BRS regime, Bhatti Vikramarka, Uttam, Seethakka and Kodandaram Nana Yagi said that it was a scheme to drink the blood of the poor people. He said that they had said that they would regularize it for free if they came to power. Now, they have increased the fees and officials are calling the applicants and chasing them to pay the LRS fee. They said they would do it for free why is Kodandaram not talking about it now? They said that everything was free before the elections now they are trying to empty their pockets by saying that there is a 25 percent discount. They called on applicants not to pay the LRS fee.
