RSD- Sircilla news: Like every year, this year too, the District SP has instructed the officers of various departments to work with dedication and make Operation Smile – XI, which is being conducted from January 01st to 31st 2025, a success. The District SP held a coordination meeting with Additional Collector Kheemya Nayak, Additional SP Chandrayya and officers of various departments at the mini conference hall of the District Police Office. Speaking on this occasion, the SP said that every officer involved in Operation Smile-XI should carry out their duties in a coordinated manner to eradicate the system of child labor that has not been properly planned. Childhood is precious in everyone’s life and it is the right of every citizen to experience it. In the blink of an eye, children leave their parents and stay away from home for small matters in a hurry. Taking advantage of this opportunity, some people make them do dangerous work and play with their lives. Such people should be identified and criminal cases should be registered against them. He reminded on this occasion that criminal cases were registered against 21 people in Operation Smile and Muskan conducted in 2024 year. He said that missing children should be traced, identified through the ‘Darpan’ application, presented before the Child Welfare Committee and return to their parents to alleviate their grief. He said that the numbers 1098 and 112 of the child helpline should be widely publicized among the people to provide information about beggars and child laborers at any time. At the Sircilla and Vemulawada division level, a sub-inspector, a woman police officer, four staff members and various department officials should be on the same task for a month and thoroughly inspect brick kilns, various industries, bus stations and traffic junctions to identify children living away from their families. He said that the parents of children who have dropped out of school due to various reasons should be persuaded and arrangements should be made to send them back to school and give them a new life.
