RSD_Call 1930 if cheated by cyber criminals

SP said that people should be vigilant about cyber crimes, don’t be fooled by advertisements on social media, the percentage of cyber crimes is increasing due to the new technology and devices available in modern technology era, technology devices must be used according to different needs, but at the same time people should be aware about cyber crimes. Cyber criminals commit cyber crimes based on two factors, hope and fear.We should never share our personal information on social media because cyber criminals wait for such opportunities so we should be careful while using phones. A call to 1930 immediately after any cybercrime incident can help you recover your lost money.

Details of some cyber cases registered in Rajanna Sirisilla district.

●.Victim uploaded details on fake website Naukri.com under Boinapally Police Station. The victim gets a call from an unknown number and says that they are calling from H.P company and they say that you have been selected and you have to pay the registration fee.

●The victim searched the customer care number related to DTDC Courier on google within Ellareddypet police station. It was a fake number. The cyber criminal sent a link to the victim and asked him to pay five rupees. The victim paid five rupees through that link. As a result of which the details related to the bank reach the cyber criminal, he gets cheated of 85,000/- rupees.

3. In Sirisilla town, the victim saw an ad related to One Plus mobile on Telegram app. The cyber criminal got transferred 80,000/- rupees through Paytm several times from the victim to pay the advance and taxes to get the phone through the offer.

● The victim searched the Amazon customer care number on Google to know the details of the item he had ordered in Tangallapally police station area. It is connected to a cyber criminal. The cyber criminal takes the credentials of the victim’s phone through a screen sharing app. 15,000/- was cheated by him.

5. In Vemulawada town, the victim received an SMS and a link from an unknown person on Instagram. Clicking on the link connected to Telegram. The cyber criminal chatted on Telegram and gave a task to pay some amount, for which the victim received a large amount. As he kept increasing the tasks, he realized that he was cheated as the money was not withdrawn. The victim lost 5500/- rupees.

Precautions to be taken:-

• Have you received a call or a message saying that you have got a lottery or loan? Immediately call 1930 and complain.

• Do not pick up video calls from strangers, if you do, they will be naked, record your video call, threaten you and extort money.

• Don’t believe WhatsApp and Telegram ads that say investment in thousands and profits in lakhs.

• If you deposit less money, you will get profit and if you deposit more money, you will cheat. Call 1930 immediately if you fall victim to such cyber fraud.

• Realize that they are cyber fraudsters who message you and ask you for a job.
