PM gave permission for Hyderabad metro phase-II

RSD- Hyderabad news: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to grant permission for Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase-II, which aims to make Metro rail facilities available to all areas in the Hyderabad metropolis. The CM brought to the attention of the Prime Minister that the previous government had not focused on the expansion of the metro in Hyderabad city for the past ten years. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy informed Prime Minister Narendra Modi that five corridors of 76.4 km in length have been proposed under Phase-II in Hyderabad city at an estimated cost of Rs. 24,269 crore. He requested for immediate approval for this project. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his official residence on 26.02.2025 morning. On this occasion, the Chief Minister brought to the attention of the Prime Minister several issues related to the state. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to immediately sanction the southern part of the Regional Ring Road (RRR) as 90 percent of the land acquisition has already been completed in the northern part. He said that if the southern part is completed along with the northern part, the RRR can be fully utilized. The Chief Minister informed the Prime Minister that they are ready to bear 50 percent of the cost of land acquisition for the southern part. CM Revanth Reddy explained to PM Modi that there is a proposal for a Regional Ring Rail project parallel to the RRR. CM Revanth Reddy informed Prime Minister Modi that if this Regional Ring Train is completed, connectivity with the railway lines of Telangana as well as other states will become easier. The CM requested the PM to grant permission for the Regional Ring Train. A dry port is needed near the Regional Ring Road to facilitate exports and imports of goods to landlocked Telangana, and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy requested Prime Minister Modi to sanction a rail line adjacent to the road along with a greenfield road to connect the sea ports of AP from that dry port. Telangana’s culture and spirituality are linked to the Musi River. Musi flows through the capital Hyderabad city. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to cooperate in the revival of Musi, which is of such importance. The Chief Minister has requested the Prime Minister to provide a total financial assistance of Rs. 20 thousand crores for the project, including the development of Bapu Ghat at the confluence of Isa and Musa rivers, construction of 27 STPs for Musi purification, construction of Musi retaining walls, embankments, and unlinking of Musi and Godavari rivers. The Chief Minister requested the PM to cooperate in the transfer of 222.7 acres of protected land for the Gandhi Sarovar project. After the bifurcation of the state, 61 IPS cadre posts came to Telangana, and after the review in 2015, another 15 posts came as an additional post, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy told Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy requested PM Modi to sanction 29 additional IPS posts to Telangana in view of the increase in cyber crimes, drug cases, increased number of cities in the state and other needs. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to allow the India Semiconductor Mission project to be set up in the state as Telangana has suitable conditions for setting up a semiconductor industry. The Chief Minister was accompanied by State IT Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu.
