Police Act Enforced in Rajanna Sircilla District : SP Mahesh B. Githe
RSD_Sircilla: District Superintendent of Police, Mahesh B. Githe, has announced that the Police Act will be enforced across the district for one month, from September 1st to 30th, in view of maintaining law and order.
As per the Police Act 1861, no dharnas, rasta rokos, protests, rallies, public meetings, gatherings or assemblies shall be organized without prior permission from police officials.
The SP also stated that DJs should not be used in violation of rules and no unlawful activities that disturb public peace and cause damage to government properties should be taken up.
He appealed to the people of the district to cooperate with the police in this regard and to support the police who are constantly striving to maintain law and order.
