On the occasion of Shri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary, the District SP and police officers and staff organized the Rashtriya Ekta Divas Pledge Program at the District Police Office and paid tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. District SP Rahul Hegde IPS placed flowers on the photograph of Shri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel installed in the district police office. After that, District SP officers and police personnel took oath. Speaking on the occasion, SP said that the bravery of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel who fought for the integrity of the country, who single-handedly united the newly independent country, united hundreds of organizations that were wounded in the heart of the nation by the division of the country, all the people of India should live as one family and regroup for national unity and serve our motherland. He hailed it as a true tribute to the freedom fighters. Additional SP Chandraiah, Administration Officer Hammadullah Khan, RSI Raju, office superintendents and office staff participated in this program.
On the occasion of former Deputy Prime Minister of India Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s Jayanti (National Unity Day), 17th Battalion Sardapur ,Battalion Commandant Mr. K. Subramaniam garlanded the portrait of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. After that, the commandant took the pledge from all the battalion police personnel.
“I pledge to support the unification of India through the actions and instructions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. I pledge to contribute to the internal peace and security of my country and to contribute to the unity of my country and to the security of the country.”
In this regard, the Commandant said that as a freedom fighter, India’s first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister, he had rendered special services to India. Vallabhbhai Patel acted very shrewdly in the merger of provinces when the country was in a difficult time and merged the provinces like Hyderabad , Junagad into India.
