Role of CCTV cameras is crucial in controlling crimes

RSD- Chandurthi news: On 18.07.2025, the District SP, along with police officers, villagers and public representatives, inaugurated 09 CCTV cameras installed in Kristampet village under Chandurthi police station. The villager’s coming forward to install CCTV cameras in the village is commendable and the District SP called on the rest of the villagers to also install CCTV cameras in their villages for self-defense. Later, the SP said there are many uses of CCTV cameras, any small incident in the village can be immediately detected through CCTV cameras, CCTV cameras will provide more security in the villages, and many cases have been solved through CCTV cameras in the meantime. He said that CCTV cameras will be useful as evidence during the crackdown of cases. He said that they will protect the people in the village 24 hours a day and he asked the people of the villages that do have CCTV cameras within the police station limits to come forward and cooperate with the police department about installing CCTV cameras. He said that a crime-free society can be built by everyone coming forward to install CCTV cameras. He said that information about suspicious people roaming in the villages and information about anti-social activities in the villages should be provided to the police. People and youth should follow traffic and road safety rules and regulations. The District SP visited Kala Govindarajula Swamy in Sanugula village and performed special pujas. The SP was accompanied by CI Venkateshwarlu, SI Ramesh, villagers, public representatives, police personnel and villagers.
