Sector officials should have full understanding of polling duties
RSD- Sircilla news: District Collector Anuraga Jayanthi on 19.10.2023, a training program was conducted for the tehsildars and nodal officers on the duties to be performed by the polling party in the polling centres on the polling day in the meeting hall of the collectorate. The district collector and master trainer provided direct awareness on the duties and documentation to be done on the polling day through demo voting missions.
On the day of polling, to check whether the polling has been completed, to clear the votes recorded in the mock polling, to start the polling, to inform the percentage of voting once every two hours, before the start of the polling, in case of any technical problems in the electronic voting machine, the steps to be taken after the polling is completed. Sealing of VMs, filling of relevant documents etc.,
Every officer should have a clear understanding of election guidelines and polling duties. Only then will they be able to monitor the election polling to complete it smoothly. He said that if any problems arise, they will guide the polling officials in the right way and solve them.
