Strict action will be taken if caught in a drunken drive: Sircilla Town CI Anil Kumar
RSD- Sircilla News: On the orders of District SP Akhil Mahajan IPS, 120 people who were caught in the drunk and drive test conducted in the last two months were presented in the court as part of the Lokadalat and fined by the Hon’ble Court. Later, Town CI Anil Kumar, Traffic SI at Sircilla Town Police Station, Counseling was conducted for them.
Speaking on this, C.I.said that people caught in drunk and driving cases are counseled about the dangers of drunk driving. Counseling was done in the presence of their parents or family heads at the district police headquarters.
Also they were made aware about traffic rules, drunk & drive, triple ride, payment of pending challans, importance of helmet, driving license, overload passenger, wrong route, signal jump, cell phone drive, seat belt, insurance vehicle documents etc. .
He said that many people die due to road accidents due to drunk driving affecting their families . Driving under the influence of alcohol is life-threatening and most of the road accidents are due to driving under the influence of alcohol.
He explained that legal action will be taken against them if they violate the traffic rules. After that, he made them to vowe to never drive after drinking alcohol.
