RSD- Sircilla news: Officers and staff should work to implement non-bailable warrants (NBWs) against absconding criminals. The District SP Mahesh B. Gite IPS., held a review meeting with police officers at the District Police Office on 19.06.2025. Speaking on this occasion, the SP said that he wanted to take steps as per the plan to resolve pending cases quickly and reduce the number of pending cases. He instructed the officers to complete the investigation and file the chargesheet in the pending cases as per the plan of action and SOP, crack the cases, keep constant vigil and monitoring on those with rowdy and history sheets, identify those who are involved in illegal activities by intimidating the public and open their history sheets. Non-bailable warrants should be issued strictly against the accused. He advised all the officers and staff to make efforts to execute the non-bailable warrants issued by the court against the accused or the absconding criminals as part of the prosecution. He said that the speedy execution of non-bailable warrants will ensure the successful completion of the case investigation and timely justice for the victims.

Intensive drunk and drive checks across the district: He warned on this occasion that special measures will be taken by the police department to prevent road accidents in the district, and as part of this, drunk and drive checks will be carried out across the district every Friday from 6 pm to 8 pm, and that those caught driving under the influence of alcohol will face jail sentences.
