Telangana Psychologists Association Formation Day

RSD- Sircilla news: The Telangana Psychologists Association Formation Day celebrations were held in grand style at the Conference Hall of the Library Society in Rajannasiricilla district headquarters. State Vice President Punnam Chander, District President Dr. Y. Anjaneyulu and General Secretary Choppadandi Srinivas participated in the program and became a special attraction of the ceremony. A cake was cut to mark the establishment of the association and joy was shared. Later, prominent figures spoke, reminding of the responsibility to create awareness on mental health from the state level to the district level.

Punnam Chander said: “The responsibility we have as psychologists is very respectable in society. We should expand our reach in an unexpected way. We should move forward together to create awareness on mental health in rural areas across the state.”

Dr. Y. Anjaneyulu said: “Our association should work like a family. There is a need for proper guidance towards mental health among the youth. We aspire to serve the society beyond our capacity,” he clarified.

Choppadandi Srinivas said: “The occasion of Telangana Psychologists Association Formation Day has given us an identity, a responsibility, as well as an opportunity. Human mental health is not just about treatment, but also about awareness. Our collective efforts are needed to strengthen the mental strength of every individual in the society.

In Rajannasiricilla district, it was decided to undertake various programs to create awareness on mental health among the youth, students, teachers and parents. The association aims to make the field of psychology accessible to the common people,” they said. The local psychologists, academicians and young students who participated in this ceremony made this meeting a memorable one. The program was another step towards increasing awareness among the people about mental health.
