RSD- Sircilla news: The district SP said that the police department has taken strong steps to ensure that the elections are held in a free atmosphere without any untoward incidents during the MLC elections to be held on the 27th of February 2025. On 25.02.2025, several polling stations under the jurisdiction of Sircilla, Thangalapalli and Chandurthi police stations were inspected and several suggestions were made to the officials on the security measures to be taken at the polling stations. On this occasion, the District SP said that a strong security arrangement has been made with 200 police personnel for the teachers and security guards elections to be held on the 27th of February 2025. The officers and staff at the polling stations should be vigilant from the beginning of the polling process to the end so that 23,347 voters can exercise their right to vote in a peaceful atmosphere in the 41 polling stations set up in the district. The SP said that 163 BNSS Act (Section 144) will be implemented at the police stations in the district to prevent any untoward incidents, there will be restrictions within 100 meters and 200 meters, and strict action will be taken against anyone who behaves illegally or tries to create a disturbance. The SP is accompanied by Urban Inspector Krishna, Rural CI Mogili, Chandurthi CI Venkateshwarlu and staff.
