RSD_ Training program on New Criminal Laws

RSD- District news: District SP said that the police personnel should be fully aware of the new laws. In view of the implementation of the new Criminal Justice Laws – 2023 by the Government of India from July 1st 2024, the staff should have full knowledge of the new procedures to be followed in the investigation and trial of many cases. As a part of that, the SP said in the inaugural program of training in the district police headquarters to create awareness among the officers and staff of the district.

On this occasion, the SP said that if every police officer and staff is aware of the new laws, how to receive the complaints from the victims in the coming days, how to register a case under AA sections, who is eligible for station bail, how to prepare the charge sheet, how the investigating officers should decide the punishments for the accused. He said that changes have been made in the new law on other issues to be dealt with. He said that the Indian legal system has faced many challenges and many laws have been framed for public safety as per the need. He said that the new laws which are coming into force now are a milestone in the maintenance of law and order with elements like the Indian Law Code, the Indian Civil Protection Code and the Indian Evidence Act. He said that through the new laws, there will be a change in the investigation of cases, procedures and investigation methods, and it will be possible to serve the people more effectively. Everyone is advised to learn new topics with discipline. The SP suggested that the old procedures which are being followed for so long should not be followed under any circumstances which are contrary to the new laws and different types of cases should be registered only according to the new sections. Police officers and staff under Rajannasircilla district will be trained in Telangana Police Academy in batches with officers who have been trained on new laws, the SP said. Additional SP Chandraiah, CI Srinivas, SI Kiran Kumar IT core staff participated in this program.
