RSD- Vemulawada news: Additional SP Seshadrini Reddy, IPS extends Diwali greetings to the people and police personnel of Vemulawada. Vemulawada Police Department has issued special safety guidelines under the leadership of Additional SP Seshadrini Reddy, IPS to celebrate the festival of Diwali safely, peacefully and without any danger. People have been advised to celebrate the festival responsibly to avoid fire accidents, injuries and noise pollution.

Fireworks Safety Tips:

  • Firecrackers should be purchased from licensed vendors only.
  • Firecrackers should be burst only in open areas; stay away from flammable materials.
  • Cotton clothes should be worn over synthetic clothes.
  • Children should burst firecrackers only under the supervision of adults.
  • Water, sand or a fire extinguisher should be kept nearby.
  • ‘Dud’ crackers should not be relit; soak them in water after 15–20 minutes.
  • Firecrackers should not be burst in houses, on terraces or in enclosed spaces.
  • Firecrackers should not be thrown at people or animals.

Lamps and lighting safety:

  • Lights and candles should be placed on stable, non-flammable surfaces.
  • Keep curtains, paper decorations away from electrical wires.
  • Lighted lamps should not be left unattended.
  • Only quality electric lights should be used; sockets should not be overloaded.

Noise and environmental protection:

  • The time limits ordered by the Supreme Court should be followed.
  • Firecrackers should not be burst near hospitals and educational institutions.
  • People have been encouraged to use environmentally friendly green crackers.
