Vemulawada police have arrested an inter-state thief

RSD- Vemulawada news:The district task force and Vemulawada police have arrested an inter-state thief who is committing many thefts in the district.

Rs.2,60,000/- cash and mobile phone was seized.

Karnataka, Suryapet, Vikarabad, Rajanna Sircilla districts, arrest of people who are involved in multiple thefts were revealed in the media conference organized at the district police office by district SP Akhil Mahajan.

SP said in the media conference that Kallem Srinivas s/o Ramachandram of Lakshmipur Village, Kottapalli Mandal, Karimnagar District lives by running a bore well shop. Srinivas came to Vemulawada from Lakshmipur village in his car on 03.06.2023 and met Bommala Swami s/o Peddi Raju. A check of 5 lakhs was given to Srinivas and Srinivas went to HDFC Bank in Vemulawada in his car and deposited the check. Withdrawn Rs. 5,00,000/- was tied in a towel and kept in the zip cover seat behind the driver. Later, Srinivas went to his sister Inukonda Swarupa’s house in R&R Colony Cheerlavancha village in his car at around 12.30 hours and parked the car in front of the house and entered the house. After coming out from house and searched in in his car, it was found that the money was not there.When Srinivas complained at Vemulawada Town Police Station, a case was registered and a special team was formed under Vemulawada DSP Vemulawada Town CI Venkatesh and task force SI Maruti task force personnel and conducted investigation from various angles and on the basis of technicality, the accused were identified as belonging to the state of Karnataka and the above special team went to Karnataka. In Shimoga District Bhadravati Taluka, Karnataka, the accused Shivadu @Shiva was taken into custody and brought to the district and interrogated. He stole 5 lakhs rupees in the car’s packet and went away. He divided them at a short distance and told them to go to their village while committing several thefts in the middle of the road. Among the two thefts committed from him in Vemulawada, 2, 60,000/- rupees were recovered. Also in the month of May, the above thieves came to Vemulawada and stole 40,000/- rupees from a motorcycle parked in front of a medical shop. After that, the above thieves committed several thefts in Ballari and Rayachori areas of Karnataka as well as in Huzurunagar, Suryapet and Tandoor, Vikarabad. They admitted that they have committed thefts in the areas as well. They said that the rest of the fugitives will also be caught soon.

An appeal to the public is that CCTV cameras play an important role in crime control and identification of criminals, and everyone is asked to install CCTV cameras as a matter of duty.

District SP Akhil Mahajan IPS congratulated the special team DSP Nagendrachari, CI Venkatesh, task force SI Maruthi, task force personnel Akshar and Srinivas for solving the case quickly.
