Vasireddy Sitaramaiah, General Secretary of Singareni Colliery Workers Union AITUC stated that the discussions of the Eleventh Wage Board of Coal Mine Workers were incomplete and postponed to the month of May 2023. In this regard, he revealed the details of the discussions held on 18.04.2023.

He said that the management’s minimum guarantee benefit has been increased by 19 percent, and that no public sector in India has increased wages this much, and it has been sent to the central government for approval, and chairman Agarwal said that it is my responsibility as the chairman of Coal India to get it approved by the government. He said that the allowances cannot be increased more, and that there has been an increase of 19 percent. He stated that the management has said that attendance bonus will be given regardless of attendance and special DA will be continued. They will give 3 percent increment on basic and OT ceiling will be removed for underground employee. He said that DA will be 100 percent neutralised. He said that underground allowance will be given 9 percent without prezing or 10 percent with prezing and night shift allowance will be increased from 35 rupees to 50 rupees. He mentioned that the charge allowance will be given as it is now and the nursing allowance will be increased from 400 to 500 rupees. He added that AITUC leaders Ramendra Kumar and Haridwar Singh along with leaders of national associations participated in this meeting.
