Why secrecy about the development of Rajanna temple?

RSD- Vemulawada news: BRS Vemulawada constituency in-charge Chalmeda Lakshmi Narasimha Rao questioned what is so secret in the reports of the development work of Rajanna temple and why is it being kept so secret. He said that the announcement by the authorities that the temple will be closed and developed from 2025 June 15th has hurt the sentiments of the devotees. He demanded that the work be continued and darshan should be provided. He spoke to reporters at his residence in Vemulawada town on 08.05.2025. He said that he fully welcomes the development of the temple, but he questioned why the government and MLA Adi Srinivas are keeping the work reports secret, at least from the people of Vemulawada town, devotees, and ultimately the temple employees. He wanted the reports to be made public. Has the DPR been prepared? Have you estimated how much funds are needed? He asked and demanded that the people be informed about the time when the work will be completed. He recalled that the temple was renovated in 1979, and then steps were taken for development during the BRS regime. He said that at that time, photographs were placed in the temple itself so that the people and devotees would know about the work they were going to undertake. But he said that he did not understand why the current government was maintaining secrecy regarding the development of the temple. He said that if the temple is closed, there is a risk that about 5 thousand families who depend on the temple will be thrown on the road. He made it clear that if the people, devotees, and small traders are inconvenienced, they will not be silent and will stand by the people. He questioned that CM Revanth Reddy had recently said that the government did not have funds and how would the temple be developed without funds. He said that the CM had visited the temple in November 2025 and laid the foundation stone for development works with Rs. 76 crores, and that even after almost six months, not a single rupee has been allocated so far, and why is there such a commotion before the money arrives? He said that it is understood that a proposal is being prepared to withdraw the cash fixed deposits in the temple and spend it on development, and he warned that if that happens, there will be no peace. He explained that there are 110 crores of fixed deposits related to the temple, and the interest earned from them is used to pay pensions to retired employees and daily pujas are being held in the temple. He said that general fixed deposits are 20 crores and another 20 crores are for the maintenance of the Nithyanadana Satra. He explained that except general fixed deposits, no other cash deposits should be withdrawn against the rules. He suggested that there is serious negligence in the Baddipochamma temple expansion work undertaken at a cost of Rs. 6.5 crore, and that it would be better to start developing the Rajanna temple after completing these works first. He said that the government, which had issued a gazette notification stating that 243 houses were being acquired through land acquisition in the expansion of the Vemulawada main road, was not right to include 315 houses at present. He said that people would not forgive him if he acted unilaterally, saying, “We have the power, don’t we?” The meeting was attended by senior leaders Raghav Reddy, Ramatirthapu Raju, city chief secretary Kranthi Kumar, PAX chairman Rammohan, former councilors Sirigiri Ramchander, Goli Mahesh, Jogini Shankar, senior leaders Prasad Rao, Narala Devender, Vengala Srikanth Goud, Mallesham, Anjad Pasha, Vasala Srinivas, Gudise Sadanand, Venkat Reddy, Pothu Anil Kumar, Cheppuri Ravinder, Paidi Srinivas, Sunkapaka Raju, Ravichandra Goud, Katta Tirupati, Sandeep, Hinge Kumar, Asad, Rakesh, Anil, and Pramod.
