Will File Case In Human Rights Commission: Akkenapelli Karunakar Over Kendriya Vidyalaya Transport Negligence
RSD_Thangallapalli, Sircilla: Alleging severe negligence by officials over the transport issue of Kendriya Vidyalaya students at Thangallapalli mandal centre, Former Sarpanches JAC State President Akkenapelli Karunakar on Wednesday warned of approaching the State Human Rights Commission.
He said around 110-120 students from New Bus Stand, Old Bus Stand and Police Station areas are being packed into a single RTC bus to school, causing severe hardship.
Small children from Class 1 to 10 carrying 12-15 kg school bags have no space to stand or breathe and are suffering daily. This overcrowded travel is badly affecting their spine, mental and physical health, he alleged.
He said though representations were given to the Collector and Ministers a year ago, officials failed to act.
He demanded immediate sanction of additional buses and disciplinary action against the Depot Manager, warning that if not solved, he will move the Human Rights Commission and court on behalf of parents.
